Open Letter to Coca Cola SA

Dear Coke,

I am fully aware of your successful 'Share a Coke' campaign and I salute your innovation, including your marketing team and the agencies involved.

However, I will not, like many, post my personalized can/bottle of coke with my name on my Twitter page & Facebook because this is free advertising for you. You see, the thing is, unlike “them”. I am smart and know that one needs to be paid do this.

However, I still salute your geniuses’ behind the campaign still, S/O to Jonathan Mildenhall and with that, I feel like you owe a lot of my Facebook friends and family who did such since it is free advertising worth millions of rands.

Since audience interaction with brand has such an effect, close to 49 million people have been affected and are sharing a coke virtually, your marketing department won. 

Therese Gearhart and Jonathan, I salute you. But you see my Facebook friends did not know that they were advertising coke for free. Damn you coke you, I won’t do it!

Oh by the way, I have attached my banking details & a rate card below for you to deposit money I will share a coke virtually. Nothing is for Mahala!

DSTV Broadcasts Madiba's obituary, Now Imagine if SABC did that!!

I always love the vibe behind the SABC and DSTV, I'm not sure I am supposed to be blogging about this but, I have to say something. DSTV's channel broadcasting the mini obituary is a big mistake, , huge disaster that is and we all know it. But imagine if SABC did that..Yho!!!! Yhooo...!!! As apparent SABC board members  at some point had to report to the parliament on why one of the channels played a wrong episode of Survivor, I mean really?? Yes, well...What's the big deal... But now, DSTV broadcasts this and guess what, They apologised and not to my surprise almost no one knows about it, not because we do not have DSTV channels in our homes but because no newspaper took interest in it....wait there.Really.??.Actually Not!!!

This is why,...DSTV is owned by Multichoice, yes, Multichice is owned by Naspers, Wich happens to also owns Media 24. Media 24 owns alsmost all the big newspapers. No wonder they are not interested in running this all of a sunday huh??...It's like...the power of monopoly at work, right there!!!...The ownership here is strategic, Take notice..It was not mistake .

This takes me back to my 1st year media studies class...Monopoly business is a No No...What more is being withheld ??? U neva No...But when SABC board members resign, Yhoo..!! Media 24 newspapers go full coverage.....*Nerd look* What's the catch???... Here is another interesting thing on these two broadcasters, SABC repeated, well lets find a politically correct word that DSTV must be using that SABC does not.... Re-run..yay, there you go..SABC 2 some weeks ago played, well, in this contrast Repeated Joyous Celebrations, one of their LIVE concerts I think and every one on the social media went totaly insane, I bet religious people wanted to toi toi but, well....!!! -- - - Right...like I have a lil sister who knows all the words, lines, actions, Entlik the entire script of Disney XD's Show Kicking it, you wanna know why?? Disney XD has  been playing them for years, many years that I also happen to know the lines..I'm not even going to mention the Rush Hour Movies they repeat over, almost every 3 months...and ladies and gentle men, Now imagine if SABC did that...The government would shut down the SABC, on the Go!! Shoo.. Me: My Dream of owning the SABC destroyed!!, Helen Zille would be off the chains, and as for our President he would be going hehehe... you see comrades, Shut down the SABC, But, Please put a F ----ree-to-air Msholozi Chan-----nel while we fi----nd oth--er sol----utions to rei---nstate - - - the-e--e-e S.....A.....BC!!!.... as for DSTV...mxm....
